Vermont Wood Studios crafts handmade furniture from sustainably grown wood in North America. The business supports Vermont artisans, the American economy and the protection of wildlife habitat. VWS believes that where your furniture comes from and how it's made are just as important as its style, function, and beauty. After a decade-long run with its existing website, founder and CEO Peggy Farabaugh knew they needed a website as functionally and aesthetically appealing as its offerings.
The Problem
Like an “everything must go” sale, Vermont Wood Studios needed to move on from its existing web solution. In order to improve ecommerce performance, the company needed a new, more capable platform, a Product Information System (PIM) and a totally new user experience.
The Solution
In partnership with Uncap, Vermont Wood Studios migrated to Shopify Plus to take advantage of plug-and-play themes plus a wide range of strategic add-ons. The PIM system was much easier to manage, and the conversion rate soared as a result of the streamlined design. Vermont Wood Studios now had a platform as sustainable as its products.
